Wedding Weekend

So this was our first "Wedding Weekend". We had a blast! Saturday morning all of the women in our families came over to see me try on my wedding dress and get a glimpse of all the projects I was working on, including a sneak peek at my invitations.
My Grandmothers
My sister and mom both made fantastic pound cakes that we had with coffee while we visited. It was really fun sharing everything with them.
Yum!
Then in the afternoon we went over to Jason's parent's house and grilled out with our imediate families. It was a lot of fun.

Sunday morning we took everyone to the venue. Jason's dad hadn't gotten to go in January, and it was the first time our siblings were seeing it. It was even more beautiful in bloom than it was when we decided to get married there so that was awesome.

After the families dispersed my mom and I headed off to do some shopping for her mother of the bride dress. We shopped Sunday afternoon and most of the day yesterday. We didn't find the dress, but we did find an accessory that gave us the perfect vision and we're now completely confident that we will find exactly what we want.

We got a late start yesterday because we went by to see my uncle and grab lunch from his food truck. He does BBQ and he is cooking for our wedding. It's super yummy and I'm really excited about it. They set up for the weekend at Gramling Farms and they sold out at 1:00pm yesterday! I was excited for him but he now plans to cook much more when they set up for 4th of July.

We really did have a phenomenal weekend. I get a little down sometimes that my mom and sisters aren't closer while I'm planning my wedding, but this weekend was just what I needed.

You are SOOOO lucky that your uncle has a food truck. Thats the coolest! Our venue is so strict about the food thing.
We got our invitations to my friend that is addressing them for us. Getting closer and closer.
SO excited!
