Fun Infinity Scarf Tutorial

So I was at Hobby Lobby spending more money that I have picking up supplies when I stumbled across the fabric squares. You guys have seen these before right? The color coordinated squares for small projects? Well it has been a while since I used a sewing machine but in high school I was pretty good. So in the hopes that it would be like riding the proverbial bicycle, I picked up a pack of the squares.

Saturday I was at home and I decided to give this little project a shot. I laid out the fabric squares and picked the three I thought went best together. I picked out a pretty pink thread from my grandmother's basket o' goodies and sewed them together end to end.

Then I took out the iron. I folded it in half with the back sides facing out and sewed the length and one short side.

After I turned it right side out, I folded in the un-sewn side and tucked the opposite end in the opening. I pinned and stitched across it.

Voila! Unique and Easy Infinity Scarf. I only used 3 of the squares so the project costs less than $5 and only took about 30 minutes. I love the finished project. I have plans for this scarf, but I'm going to have to make more of these for me and for Christmas gifts this year!

Do you have basic sewing skills like me? Have any fun projects to share?

That looks so easy! I may have to try that sometime.

I bet that even I could make this...I have never sewed....that's right. Do you ever make tote bags or hand bags?

I really like the way that infinity scarves work (no dangly ends!) but don't have a single one! Might have to remedy that this weekend with a trip to the remnant bin at Joanne's!
