Some call it busy, I call it living

People are always commenting on how busy I am, or how I have so many things on my plate. I've heard it said that busy people are afraid to be alone with themselves, but I don't necessarily agree. I am a true extrovert. I honestly get my energy and satisfaction from being around people and socializing. I also get a kick out of organizing and planning. I don't need to be in control, I like to participate too. Thing is, if I want to do something I'm not the type to wait on someone else to get it started. I'm busy with the business of living.

I won't pretend that I don't sometimes get busy with work or with my jewelry, but the majority of my "busy" is time spent with family and friends. I feel the happiest when I am with the people that I love, and so I fill my time with them. Sometimes that means I plan a party and spend all day cooking, but it's because I want to, not because I have to.

Every now and then I take a few days to relax and deflate. It was just two weeks ago that I did nothing all weekend. I literally spent an entire Saturday in my pjs! So I get some rest from time to time. But I honestly enjoy being busy. I enjoy planning things that others enjoy. I like to be creative and start projects. It's just how I operate!

What about you? Are you introverted or extroverted? Do you like to stay "busy"?

I totally feel you on this. I get my energy by being with people and by getting stuff done and being productive. Days when I don't have anything to do totally suck the life out of me. My husband's the opposite, though, he gets his energy from downtime and being alone. It's so interesting how it all works! Just found your blog and I have loved getting to know you better. I'm excited to follow along!

I'm with you, lady! I don't consider myself an extrovert BUT I have to stay busy. I'm more productive when I'm busy, my planner is full and I'm on the go. It's just better for me that way. Not that I don't enjoy my down time...because I really, really LOVE that too (nap time, anyone?!) Totally get you, friend :)

I'm a half busy/half pjs all day kind of gal but I don't think of it as being busy at all!
