So I want to take some time to tell you more about the Non-Profit that is benefiting from the Blogger Bra Drive. I first discovered this agency about 5 or 6 months ago through a co-worker.
Free the Girls is trying to create safe job environments for women in other countries who have been rescued out of sex slavery. The goal is to provide jobs where they interact primarily with other women in an entrepreneurship that they can maintain on their own.
It comes as no surprise that second hand clothing is a profitable market in many countries where most of the population is under the poverty level and cannot afford new clothes, but imagine a woman who needs a bra! Gently used bras are highly sought after and that makes these jobs profitable and sustainable for these women.
I encourage you to read more about this agency and consider donating gently used bras through the Blogger Bra Drive. The great thing about a bra drive is that you can do this on your own at anytime through a local group! The donation instructions are easy to find on their website.
Back to the Blogger Drive! I want this is little corner of the internet to bring in the most bras for this drive. Why? Because it's a good cause, and because I'm a little competitive.
