Fairy Tale Fantasies

Who doesn't love a good Fairy Tale Fantasy? After all, we're all in love with the twisted fairy tale stories that are aimed toward adult audiences. It's fun to think that maybe Alice was a little kinky, and perhaps the Big Bad Wolf wasn't what we all thought.

Fairy Tales aren't always innocent. In fact the earliest writings aren't the sparkly stories we see in Disney Cartoons. I mean, Snow White lived with seven men in the middle of the woods. Rapunzel had a man scaling a tower to see her. You mean to tell me they didn't make the most of those visits? ;)

I thought I'd share some products from EdenFantasys to put you in the Fairy Tale Fantasy state of mind. Do these sexy little numbers make anyone else think Alice? Malficient? Tinkerbell?

Spell of lust flyaway babydoll, thong and lace collar set.Embroidered lace cups with built up adjustable straps. Matching cotton crotch g-string is included.Stretch mesh halter babydoll with adjustable neck tie closure, shirred peasant style bodice and ruffled lace trim. Matching thong included.

And of course Halloween is fast approaching! EdenFantasys has a large selection of Halloween Costumes that include some of these awesome fairy tale characters!

I'm also a big fan of erotica. EdenFantasys carries both of these collections edited by Kristina Wright. I loved the first and I'm currently working my way through the second.

Fairy Tale Fashions

So, I probably looked forward to today's post more than any this week. I had so many great ideas for Fairy Tale outfits, unfortunately, I simply didn't have enough time to do them all. One, however, I managed.

I had really planned on adding "We're all Mad here" to the tee-shirt using a bleach pen, but I liked the shirt too much as it was. I already had the clock necklace. It's probably the only piece of jewelry I've purchased in the past year. I saw it at a boutique in San Diego and I had to have it. I was so glad I did when I started to think of this outfit.

And what about those nails?! Aren't the colors perfect?

Those beauties are compliments of Amber. I was paired with Amber for the All Laquered Up Polish Swap and this is what she sent me.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Gunmetal
Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Glitzy Gal
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Marine Scene
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Save the Date
and some Ms. Manicure emery boards, and nail clippers

For this look I used three coats of Marine Scene with 2 coats of gunmetal on the accent nail. I used one coat of Glitzy Gal on the whole manicure. I love the way they turned out. Perfect Wonderland nails!

I still have lots of outfit ideas, so this may not be the last you'll hear of Fairy Tale Fashions, but this is all for today. I may be the only one crazy enough to put together an entire outfit just because it makes me think of a Fairy Tale character, but if you joined me link-up and share!

Fairy Tales Rewritten!

Photobucket

I am an avid reader, and I love the stories that draw their inspiration from Fairy Tales.

Shiloh Walker's Grimm Series is the best!
via shilohwalker.com
Basic premise? The Grimms are a select group of essentially immortal guardian angel types who fight demons and protect innocents. As you can imagine normal people who become immortal have quite a lot to explain, and so their stories have become the legends that society now know as 'Fairy Tales'.

Ms. Walker releases these novella length stories as ebooks first but they come out in collections periodically. The First Book of Grimm is on the this week's giveaway prizes!

Candy Houses
No Prince Charming
Crazed Hearts
Tarnished Knight
Locked in Silence
Grimm Tidings
and soon... Blind Destiny

I really love the twist on the traditional Fairy Tale, and these novellas are seriously spicy!

When I first started this post, I thought I'd read a lot of Fairy Tale Novels, but it turns out I want to read a lot Fairy Tale Novels. On my TBR List are...

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)Between the Lines
BreadcrumbsFables, Vol. 1: Legends in Exile
Sisters Red (Fairytale Retellings, #1)My Name is Rapunzel

What are your favorite Fairy Tale books? Any good ones out there not on my list?

Link-up if you want to share!

Fairy Tale Cinema

Wow, so after day on of Fairy Tale Week the overwhelming majority is going with Beauty and the Beast as their favorite Fairy Tale!

I always liked B&B because I also loved to read, but I think that I'd have to go with Snow White as my favorite traditional Fairy Tale. I'm sure part of it is because when I was in, like, 2nd grade I played snow White in a school play and I had the biggest crush on the guy who was the "prince". Of course we were young so instead of kissing me he kicked my foot to make me cough up the apple.

Anyway, these days there are so many awesome twists on Fairy Tales! My favorite FT inspired movie is probably Sydney White. I loved Amanda Bynes. Granted, these days she's making poor choices instead of movies, but what can you do?

I didn't love Mirror, Mirror that came out last year, and I still want to see Snow White and the Huntsman. I haven't heard much about it. (Any opinions?)

Second favorite FT movie was definitely A Cinderella Story. I don't care if it's cheesy. I always liked Hilary Duff, and Chad Michael McMurray is hot. I was all over that movie.

Also, does anyone else remember the made for TV movie with Jennifer Grey an Rob Lowe? It was a Cinderella story set in the 90s fashion world, If the Shoe Fits. I just remembered it today. It was definitely cheesy, horrible effects, but I probably watched it a dozen times when I was a kid.

Maybe it wasn't made for TV, I don't know. It seems like it would have been, but who knows.

Then there was Red Riding Hood. I really liked it. Not a lot of plot, a little creepy, but for some reason I loved it!

As for TV Shows Once Upon a Time is by far the best series I've ever watched. I love the back and forth between the way things were and how they are now. I simply can't wait for the second season!

Best Show Ever!
I haven't gotten into Grimm too much. I liked the few shows I saw ok, I just haven't kept up with it. How about you all?

For some reason I can't think of any other TV Series right now, even though I know there must me more. I would love to hear your favorites! Wanna Join the Fun? Grab the button and link your post!
