I <i>LOVE</i> Christmas. I always have and this year I've particularly gotten into the Christmas Spirit. I'll be making my first batch of Chex Mix and Sausage Balls tonight for my Book Club's get together tomorrow night. I've always said I would love to just go into people's homes and decorate for Christmas. I love creating that perfect scene. I get to come close with my sisters from time to time. This year I made a tree skirt and bow for Megan. I followed a pattern I found for the size and it was HUGE!<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This isn't a difficult project, but her skirt took about 6 hours to make, so it's not for the faint of heart.</td></tr>

Tonight I'm going to work on a small snowman wreath for my door similar to the one my friend Debbie (<a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/StudioBeeCreations/215112611864648?ref=br_tf">Studio Bee Creations</a>) made for my sister Jodi. Once I put the finishing touches on a few things I'll post more pictures! I have several projects left before Christmas, but luckily I'm about 75% done with Christmas prep so I should have plenty of time.<br />

<br />
Well it's that time again! Join me and Aubrey from <a href="http://www.high-heeledlove.com/">High-Heeled Love</a> for Wino Wednesday! Once a month, the second Wednesday to be precise, we're linking up wine related posts. Vineyard recaps, craft projects, new favorites, the possibilities are endless, just like the perfect bottle of wine!<br />
<br />
<b>Ground Rules:</b><br />
Display the button in your post.<br />
Link up in the linky below.<br />
Pay a visit to the others in the link-up!<br />
<br />
So last month was my one year anniversary. (All together! <i>Awww!</i>) Because I'm such a wino and we LOVE fall, we decided to go for a drive into the mountains and visit a new vineyard!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7kSsBeA0tkNL_aJKNxuLjpJWVfND2IZ00nn8rtXVfzUpPfTairUguI2TyfaKgJAqHsZFQkXAhK38VM7dPhqKSelaz-DKLvIqhOsAgXg3Ju__ZMJ4euexC32XIxGbJWyRRo24a-xph6pTi/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7kSsBeA0tkNL_aJKNxuLjpJWVfND2IZ00nn8rtXVfzUpPfTairUguI2TyfaKgJAqHsZFQkXAhK38VM7dPhqKSelaz-DKLvIqhOsAgXg3Ju__ZMJ4euexC32XIxGbJWyRRo24a-xph6pTi/s1600/image.jpeg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I'd heard about <a href="http://www.burntshirtvineyards.com/">Burntshirt Vineyards</a> back in the summer for the first time and it's only a thirty minute drive if you take the interstate. Of course we turned it into an hour drive to check out all the fall foliage.<br />
<br />
The tasting room was packed! They had a guy playing some live music and the place was bright and cheery. I'd love to go again sometime.<br />
<br />
I was actually really impressed with their Estate White Wine. I'm normally not a fan of white wines. They are either way too dry for me, or far too sweet. I actually liked the Estate White though. It was a blend of Grüner Veltliner with Traimenette, Vidal Blanc and Petite Manseng. Those were new to me, and perhaps that is why I liked it. It wasn't too sweet but it didn't have that bite I associate with white wines either.<br />
<br />
Of course my favorites were reds. Their Altitude 3400 was a fantastic red blend and their Estate Rose reminded me of a phenomenal Red Moscato. We bought a bottle of each.<br />
<br />
Because it's Hendersonville, known for their apples, they have an <a href="http://www.burntshirtvineyards.com/store/p/58-Apple-Wine.html">apple wine</a> also. There was a coffeepot of mulled apple wine and it was incredible! We bought two bottles and a pack of mulling spices to bring home with us.<br />
<br />
All in all it is definitely worth a trip if you're in the area. There is a very nice patio area to have a drink afterwards if you want to make a day of it and there are some pretty pathways you can walk. We missed the vineyard tour at 2:00pm but I'm sure that would be really interesting to do sometime also.<br />
<br />
<b><i>So, fellow winos, have you made any new discoveries lately?</i></b><br />

We've had so many things going on and while we stay pretty busy I can honestly say that I've been less stressed this year than any other year in the past decade. Settling into our married routine has been nice and my business has really picked up!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1nUcl5SClHiUR6_v1ojvVGo4I7fYZEJqLEbkMuRrFy62-oDf8Ca88Mnq4aL05IozUo7Ix49uxMvtNo7icaEMmIdn9NNsH9_myqN5geDj55F33Fq04fCi9DddlSP2dk-mo_GQI8G_PEMct/s1600/candles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1nUcl5SClHiUR6_v1ojvVGo4I7fYZEJqLEbkMuRrFy62-oDf8Ca88Mnq4aL05IozUo7Ix49uxMvtNo7icaEMmIdn9NNsH9_myqN5geDj55F33Fq04fCi9DddlSP2dk-mo_GQI8G_PEMct/s1600/candles.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started making candles a few months ago, all those empty wine bottles needed a project. So I began recycling bottles into candles and decorating them to sell. At first it was just a side hobby but now I have a display at a local shop, The Vintage Warehouse, and it's going really well.<br />

I still have the jewelry making going also, and I'm doing some other crafty things for the holidays as well. I have a show in Lexington on November 15th and I hope to see lots of familiar faces!<br />

I'm constantly trying to one-up myself and sometimes that's phenomenal, sometimes it's not so much. Some designs are definitely a matter of taste and I'll be the first to tell you that some of my most popular designs are too much for me, but I'm still proud of them and I love to see others in love with their new pieces.<br />

I'm several hours early to the party this month, but since I was completely AWOL last month, we'll call it even. So I've been quite the little crafter lately and earlier this week I made these beauties.<br />

They've taken up residence on my kitchen bar and I love them! My computer ate some of my pictures, but the instructions are simple enough.<br />
<br />
What you'll need:<br />
Wine bottles, chalkboard paint, paintbrush, mason jars (or something that will hold your bottles upside down while the bottoms dry) hot glue, twine/rope, chalk.<br />
<br />
I started by putting my bottles upside down in the mason jars to coat the base and let it dry. Read your can. I might not have waited quite as long as it said for the second coat, but I'm not telling.<br />
<br />
Once the bottoms were dry enough to set them upright I finished painting them. Then I left them alone for a couple of days.<br />
<br />
When I came back to them I used hot glue and cotton twine around the necks and tied a piece of chalk to each bottle.<br />
<br />
These adorable little things sell at Hobby Lobby for about $8 each. I spent $10 on materials and I have enough to make tons more if I wanted. Which is good since I still have all these bottles in my craft closet.<br />

Our fridge really needed some good magnets so I thought this would be a good project to take on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXfrIzWBPENtYJbIwegjQi8RgG7OnS9gYYSch8hwQK-9oK1J8Q0y6vKvMegn80YuM8UUhFZ76IYaPyQg_tMRcJI-pxWq5HbX1nexumx3GAmU9zQVaRx-qnOf7BWO_Qi8VD1ygv6Bsr1gm6/s1600/IMG_2874.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXfrIzWBPENtYJbIwegjQi8RgG7OnS9gYYSch8hwQK-9oK1J8Q0y6vKvMegn80YuM8UUhFZ76IYaPyQg_tMRcJI-pxWq5HbX1nexumx3GAmU9zQVaRx-qnOf7BWO_Qi8VD1ygv6Bsr1gm6/s1600/IMG_2874.JPG" height="488" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
What you'll need:<br />
<br />
A glass of wine, cutting board, wine corks, serrated knife, magnetic tape/small craft magnets, E6000 glue.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2DyQ7zZ7ANtWhcBnM1bnliwpFscpY3-63KYbRwGDfgr2gpqh6lK8F3f1yLuyuHS8UTj0eWVJmcngnMArK3mfrYHAWmtirRxh6KoNcHc4B5OTYHMTPG0XpElcMhYOCpMIf2GmukXADNtTQ/s1600/IMG_2829.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2DyQ7zZ7ANtWhcBnM1bnliwpFscpY3-63KYbRwGDfgr2gpqh6lK8F3f1yLuyuHS8UTj0eWVJmcngnMArK3mfrYHAWmtirRxh6KoNcHc4B5OTYHMTPG0XpElcMhYOCpMIf2GmukXADNtTQ/s1600/IMG_2829.JPG" height="504" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So tried out a few things with this craft. First I tried cutting my corks dry. It wasn't a disaster, just a little messy. There was a lot of cork dust. Also, be very mindful of your fingers. Corks aren't that big and knives are sharp.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilE9FYlF19UTNDvqQKb_wgqCzbIbgKrC3uxraaZrrTd_qkm9gjXGJzFLSN9u7WnwhIdaeIyqsRuuX489V1t9fJG0kBlbMPEJE_i-bszpxQaKkZKvra34Cjso0uBqlNWwDTlvZfPNN6SmVJ/s1600/Blog+Post+Pics1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilE9FYlF19UTNDvqQKb_wgqCzbIbgKrC3uxraaZrrTd_qkm9gjXGJzFLSN9u7WnwhIdaeIyqsRuuX489V1t9fJG0kBlbMPEJE_i-bszpxQaKkZKvra34Cjso0uBqlNWwDTlvZfPNN6SmVJ/s1600/Blog+Post+Pics1.jpg" height="172" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Dry cutting caused a little unevenness that had to be cut away to adhere the magnetic tape. I tried soaking a few in water first and it did make a difference in the cutting so I recommend that for the real corks<br />
<br />
Sidenote about synthetic corks: They cut VERY easily, so awesome on that point. However, the magnetic tape didn't want to stick. I already used E6000 on some of the small round magnets just to make sure they stuck, but you'll definitely need it if you're going to use synthetic corks.<br />
<br />
This was actually a really easy, very quick, project. I will say the magnetic tape I bought isn't as strong as I would like so if I make more I will probably go buy some craft magnets from HL.<br />

Today I thought I'd join Aubrey for Friday Confessional.<br />
<br />
When we got back from walking this morning I discovered I'd left my bra at home, and I had to wear a sports bra at work and grocery shopping.... not a good thing when you're busty.<br />
<br />
Only two days after posting my August Goals I can already mark one as a partial fail. Of course using the term "everyday" sort of sets you up for that one.<br />
<br />
Of all the cute things I ordered for Jennifer's shower tomorrow, the main gift item won't be here til next week. This makes me sad and a little cranky.<br />
<br />
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Day Designer. I am using it every day and it is helping me get so much more accomplished!<br />
<br />
I'm very much looking forward to a date with the Huzby tomorrow.<br />
<br />
<i><b>How about you guys? What are your confessions this week?</b></i><br />

We haven't quite been here a year but we're signing another lease and I'm really trying to personalize it so it doesn't feel like a cookie cutter apartment. Not too long ago I got a great little table second hand from my grandmother but undecorated it tends to get piled on when we walk in the door. So I decided to give it a simple little tablescape.<br />
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZvIcS-JhHzyM9Xqf2HlLvfyXQtg6etFTLbmJf-WMwO_r4FccicIGd0Qywxft12i5LiQjvETFqPdiBdB2R0M667t4t42CiQy2qCrvtcl_0IiBOi-bdgCoxCCqw6Ev-iBfQYSXuCFoeuZQg/s1600/IMG_2814.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZvIcS-JhHzyM9Xqf2HlLvfyXQtg6etFTLbmJf-WMwO_r4FccicIGd0Qywxft12i5LiQjvETFqPdiBdB2R0M667t4t42CiQy2qCrvtcl_0IiBOi-bdgCoxCCqw6Ev-iBfQYSXuCFoeuZQg/s1600/IMG_2814.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So I decided to clean up one of my empty wine bottles and use a canvas ribbon and some silk flowers that match my <a href="http://www.thecraftywino.com/2014/05/spring-wreath.html">summer wreath</a> for a simple centerpiece. For the placemats I tried following <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/pin/148337381451635439/">this tutorial</a>, but it wasn't really working for me. Simply gluing the cord to itself wasn't stable enough to give me a nice flat placemat, and definitely not with a large enough diameter. So I decided it needed some backing. Here's how I did it.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step One: Pour some wine.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizpn9EcSFg746W-1S0sdPn1fZebA1G7t7D5hXTl4MWq0waGx3HQJDi9lnr0_hWfQD6RyTyFbc1P8eoSnQtDp4ZPZEw4nxvJ5fkuTtqkyb_UyEE20Pv7ZJqEG1yOe_oA28d2mlfsWjM0X2N/s1600/IMG_2806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizpn9EcSFg746W-1S0sdPn1fZebA1G7t7D5hXTl4MWq0waGx3HQJDi9lnr0_hWfQD6RyTyFbc1P8eoSnQtDp4ZPZEw4nxvJ5fkuTtqkyb_UyEE20Pv7ZJqEG1yOe_oA28d2mlfsWjM0X2N/s1600/IMG_2806.JPG" height="640" width="638" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step Two: Turn your coffee table into a workspace.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvBcyCtK1tQmjGtbavxZyaAhYcUcIJmE7WnLCHSUteyFLQuXogfptwbmiGXEreNJt-Ck2L2Y00SJEHBnTiZyuuCo4BP7eHdChvUfQqqvFZuqyOWsh4clA1PWOhNCq9PQcUq0_Bt5rttAUO/s1600/IMG_2807.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvBcyCtK1tQmjGtbavxZyaAhYcUcIJmE7WnLCHSUteyFLQuXogfptwbmiGXEreNJt-Ck2L2Y00SJEHBnTiZyuuCo4BP7eHdChvUfQqqvFZuqyOWsh4clA1PWOhNCq9PQcUq0_Bt5rttAUO/s1600/IMG_2807.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You'll need jute cord, a hot glue gun and gluesticks, scissors (I love my fiskars rotary cutter, it's amazing) and some kind of material for backing. I had an old sheet that I'd already cut for another project so I used that.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step Three: Cut two large 14" x 14" squares from your material. It gives you room to work with if you don't start perfectly centered.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step Four: Use the hot glue and glue the cord to the fabric and to itself in a spiral until you reach the size you're going for. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK-MweybGSISbD8T1Rfxb1TJKqcHyqQUuFey84lN-mAZcBV6Gtm1DNS2pQNquJEVO4R8ZxpaWWKGcpra0Y2G3nekUrYRNUK4ypdliiZX5yYxFwMlWCFN3b6TgImJFILenO6azWQz9ZuGhS/s1600/Blog+Post+Pics.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK-MweybGSISbD8T1Rfxb1TJKqcHyqQUuFey84lN-mAZcBV6Gtm1DNS2pQNquJEVO4R8ZxpaWWKGcpra0Y2G3nekUrYRNUK4ypdliiZX5yYxFwMlWCFN3b6TgImJFILenO6azWQz9ZuGhS/s1600/Blog+Post+Pics.jpg" height="230" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step Five: When you are about one more spiral from the size you want, trim the fabric down to your cord and glue the last cord layer to the layer before it so that the fabric is not showing when the placemat is flat on the table surface. I cut my cord at an angle and used a small drop of hot glue to smooth it down against the placemat. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Voila! Placemats!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ-BtiwcGIrPGM7oREqmDZCX_62R2yyyI95Zp5g90jqVRoFqH9wzqO7OPMCYxnTVWee0DB5r6W0Qi3tS5Frmta-U-7OPDoEFzNIgSihMehWqFMTuEdJjCXOr1_YAZxCA9aYLlykLyxPIsH/s1600/IMG_2817.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ-BtiwcGIrPGM7oREqmDZCX_62R2yyyI95Zp5g90jqVRoFqH9wzqO7OPMCYxnTVWee0DB5r6W0Qi3tS5Frmta-U-7OPDoEFzNIgSihMehWqFMTuEdJjCXOr1_YAZxCA9aYLlykLyxPIsH/s1600/IMG_2817.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love Jute, and I use it alot. A couple of weeks ago I used Jute to coffee an old aluminum coffee can to make a large utensil holder for my counter. I bought that huge roll at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon for less than $10. </div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEje9xBqrT7Iwome5yK3xPQzVADt9UgJU65f09WSAgwW6d2Zh9fJ-WeAxyFBqKQe5N6hqaK4mMt_32EJ4o4n9rJH7Idd5Ccvb1n1AXr0hpq6lDCliyS3W7Qec2uUzRNDWsi4gP6M_TFk1eX-/s1600/IMG_2666.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEje9xBqrT7Iwome5yK3xPQzVADt9UgJU65f09WSAgwW6d2Zh9fJ-WeAxyFBqKQe5N6hqaK4mMt_32EJ4o4n9rJH7Idd5Ccvb1n1AXr0hpq6lDCliyS3W7Qec2uUzRNDWsi4gP6M_TFk1eX-/s1600/IMG_2666.JPG" height="486" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So basically, jute is the star in my little apartment makeover :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have you ever used jute in your DIY projects? I'd love more ideas for my big roll!</div>

So it's been almost two months since I last posted. What a slacker!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since then I've been to the beach, bought a new car, lost 15 pounds and finally set up a coffee bar in our apartment!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h311/danielleskaminski/Image-1_zps4e798912.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h311/danielleskaminski/Image-1_zps4e798912.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Basically I guess I took and unannounced vacation from the blog for a while. I'm back though and excited to share pics post some fun crafts I'm working on this summer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I became an aunt again this summer, only 364 days after the first time! We'll never forget Jackie or Kylie's birthdays!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well, here is my first Spring Craft that sort of became a summer craft because my schedule got a little out of hand.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXgz5Z0qHBXbI3oZinNJv-4AH-LFCVJCl-UpdqIE4Fi37Nr7TdBQaNxauF8d6W6rfd2QewCHv3fcsRSvP_5GMkAh8w5eO5y2PVt3x22qHqhnSngse-OsGPV6VyUR-XU6hWjmXHaiBIjRBg/s1600/image_2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXgz5Z0qHBXbI3oZinNJv-4AH-LFCVJCl-UpdqIE4Fi37Nr7TdBQaNxauF8d6W6rfd2QewCHv3fcsRSvP_5GMkAh8w5eO5y2PVt3x22qHqhnSngse-OsGPV6VyUR-XU6hWjmXHaiBIjRBg/s1600/image_2.jpeg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
This isn't <a href="http://youtu.be/EOVJOxmuB-g">the video</a> I used but I found it later and it's much much easier to follow if you want to make your own burlap wreath. I just used wire to position and affix the flowers to the bottom. It makes a world of difference in my little entry way.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQo4c7lj-iSNYAolmSCaCpol-DOpSsi2kxo1GxBrCAj7shKPFSDsdai5QWaLb-dt-Fy9qytEIl-dpyN67GFnZ2-oQp6EBz6VI03z7GOBAQlvg2PWURvZQVqoul7_n8ITSGqNJ8MtBmt7-2/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQo4c7lj-iSNYAolmSCaCpol-DOpSsi2kxo1GxBrCAj7shKPFSDsdai5QWaLb-dt-Fy9qytEIl-dpyN67GFnZ2-oQp6EBz6VI03z7GOBAQlvg2PWURvZQVqoul7_n8ITSGqNJ8MtBmt7-2/s1600/image.jpeg" height="320" width="240" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv_j9M0XrM8xYUUYltxT1RHuWnvj7MBgrcgfkDKpVR7gGuNB43-sEK7123GVHUoHZeysf-dsJVSV71fLWLe8LDIY79zXQQdQDwhczabxmfQswJ-55OSttJxHGsSRsHZjHRacyxTRAZ25J7/s1600/image_1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv_j9M0XrM8xYUUYltxT1RHuWnvj7MBgrcgfkDKpVR7gGuNB43-sEK7123GVHUoHZeysf-dsJVSV71fLWLe8LDIY79zXQQdQDwhczabxmfQswJ-55OSttJxHGsSRsHZjHRacyxTRAZ25J7/s1600/image_1.jpeg" height="320" width="240" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since I just used wire on the flowers I'm thinking I can switch them out during the different seasons and keep the same burlap wreath base. I'll let you know in the fall how that goes :) </div>

So this is the third year of the Lexington Wine Walk. My family moved there the year it started and I've been every year. It's always such a fun time. This year it was me, two of the sisters and my Huzby.<br />
<br />
I didn't get blown away by any new labels but I had some yummy old faves. What did we get from the Wine Walk this year? This beauty...<br />
<br />

There is a story behind this that involves an insane face I made when I was a kid and our family's constant obsession with strange faces, but basically, it was a blast. In fairness, we all thought we were posing for a picture.<br />

<br />
We discovered we'd all gotten older. We stayed two hours this year as opposed to waiting in line when they opened last year and then closing the thing down. I also managed not to get schwasty this year.<br />
<br />
I hope everyone else's summer is getting off to a fabulous start! I am making a wreath for my door and I'll be posting that soon. I'm getting ready for my big spring jewelry show in Lexington this weekend. All my SC ladies in the Columbia area should swing by and say hey!<br />

So, I'm back! What happened right? I launched a new look and brand and then dropped off the face of blogworld.<br />
<br />
Basically, I was experiencing my first tax season and I seriously over estimated what I could handle outside of work.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.someecards.com/tax-day-cards/sorry-you-dont-believe-in-paying-taxes-or"><img alt="someecards.com - Sorry you don't believe in paying taxes or in the federal prison system that will soon house you" src="http://cdn.someecards.com/someecards/filestorage/sorry-believe-paying-taxes-tax-day-ecard-someecards.jpg" /></a><br />
Unbelievable the number of people ya'll. For reals. </div>
<br />
#30daysofhair wasn't the amazing success I thought it would be, after about a week I forgot to take pictures even when I did actually do something with my hair, and being honest? I didn't go a full 30 days. It wasn't a fail though I found a few cute new styles that I really like and I've added to my trusty fallback list.<br />

This past weekend I went on a Women's Retreat with my mom and sister and it was a wonderful time. I really needed it. Jason and I have been church shopping but not enthusiastically. Being with the women from their church motivated me to find somewhere that I can get involved with a group like that.<br />

So with my busy schedule lately I haven't been able to seek out too many new wines, but a couple of weeks ago Jen and I did Wine Wednesday right and went to one of our favorite restaurants. They'd recently changed the wine menu and the house Cab was a new label.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0003a83Rm7527Iz53e1wPce_HOFmpQlaiIK73Ffamdoj8HLC2TeDR4UCiSBdl0UdvbILg8cizPA5DoNsIwjDLmz7o_LnVsqmTZKwyGoCNE1YL6NgiGhyx44Yod5_PFy2QjbDXxQcwBhT6/s1600/concannon.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0003a83Rm7527Iz53e1wPce_HOFmpQlaiIK73Ffamdoj8HLC2TeDR4UCiSBdl0UdvbILg8cizPA5DoNsIwjDLmz7o_LnVsqmTZKwyGoCNE1YL6NgiGhyx44Yod5_PFy2QjbDXxQcwBhT6/s1600/concannon.png" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
It was delicious! Very smooth, very full flavor.<br />
<br />
I did a little internet digging and found the label online <a href="http://www.concannonvineyard.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/CON-GER_TN_CABS_NV.pdf">HERE</a>.<br />
<br />
I wanted to know where to find in and it turns out my Publix carries it! Yay!<br />
<br />
Have you found any new labels lately that you love? Share with the class!<br />

<br />
Seriously, it was one of those days ya'll. I was running late so I did nothing, repeat NOTHING to my hair. It wasn't pretty. On the way to work I got a speeding ticket. Our AC went out and my step-dad was staying with us overnight, so the making him dinner and hanging out at home turned into going out for Mexican once the maintenance guy got it working so the apartment could cool down. (Of course at least he actually came out after hours and we didn't have to sleep in an 85* apartment!) Then on the way home I realized I'd lost one of my favorite earrings. *facepalm* So of course I went to bed with a headache and a cool pack.<br />
<br />
But today is a new day! It's Friday! So what if I have to work tomorrow, there is still something about Friday that means it's gonna be a good day. We're 10 days out from tax season being over which will mean a couple of days off and back to early afternoons for us, and today is payday! I think I'll do a little cyber shopping for a new spring dress. I've had my eye on this one. What do you think?<br />

One thing about a personal blog is that it changes as often as you change, and the past few years have been full of changes for me. Last summer while I was getting ready for the wedding I was doing a lot of crafting, and of course a lot of drinking wine. Obviously I've been trying to grow my jewelry business too. This was the instagram post that started me thinking about the name change.<div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bCPOd8gzo8U/UzvWjAjH8PI/AAAAAAAAEv4/KyIx3In7V7g/s640/blogger-image--879254331.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bCPOd8gzo8U/UzvWjAjH8PI/AAAAAAAAEv4/KyIx3In7V7g/s640/blogger-image--879254331.jpg"></a></div><br>
<br>
I thought to myself. This is what I do. I drink wine, make jewelry, play with hot glue, and basically try to find ways to make things instead of buying them.<br>
<br>
As it turns out, I have some crafty friends in blogworld, and they are joining me to kick off the new look with a crafty giveaway! The winner gets a necklace and earring set from Wired Essentials, 4 eyeshadows of their choice from Printcess Mineral Makeup and a $20 Hobby Lobby Giftcard!<br>

<br />
So I'm in a bit of a hair rut. I have two quick things and two 'I spent more than 2 minutes' things I do with my hair.<br />
<br />
<br />
It's either 1) scrunched with product 2) up in a messy bun 3) down and straight or 4) down with curling iron curls.<br />
<br />
I'd really like to get back into the habit of styling my hair. It's longish so there is a lot I can do with it and with spring and summer around the corner I'm going to want fun ways to wear it up too.<br />
<br />
So I'm challenging myself to wear my hair styled differently each day for 30 days. I started a <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/dspakes904/30-day-hairstyle-challenge/">pinterest board</a> and I'm going to post pics to <a href="http://instagram.com/ssg_danielle">instagram</a> with #30daysofhair.<br />

Yes? You must have been a design major in college (Jen!). If not, don't feel bad, I hadn't either. It makes decorating easy though! So for those of you who are more like me, let me share.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.celebratinghome.com/parties/daniellekaminski632071/ProductCategoryList.aspx"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_230JLg1Td21UfY2liw9dxmBi3WX67vXMD3qK6wQgpq79w_exbLKXYcLapdQVau_NJ7kRYZTfFpNjW9SY6AtAkBpkD_ztIvzihZp4X_sA504ZhkFKwzaosTMujfqY2XElL_m3o37v643x/s1600/1798820_10152306862949391_1296235261_n.jpg" height="312" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>1) Focal Point/Framed Art</b></i><br />
<br />
Ok, so who like me usually stopped here? I've got no shame saying that until I went to my friend's <a href="http://www.celebratinghome.com/parties/daniellekaminski632071/shop_our_catalog.aspx">Celebrating Home/Home Interiors</a> show, I usually just stopped when the pictures were hung.<br />
<br />
<i><b>2) Floral</b></i><br />
<br />
Nope, I never did it. Honestly, I think I was just too lazy. I mean my grandmother owned a flower shop and I certainly knew <i>how</i> to arrange florals, I just never bothered.<br />
<br />
<i><b>3) Ambiance</b></i><br />
<br />
Candles, lamps, etc. Basically lighting. I LOVE candles, but I don't always do a great job at making them a part of the decor. I just sort of pick one that smells good and put it out. Luckily I now have <a href="https://melissacasey.scentsy.us/Scentsy/Buy">Scentsy</a> accessories and some new gorgeous candles to fix that.<br />
<br />
<b><i>4) Signature Accessory</i></b><br />
<br />
Now this is a problem I recognize. I OVER DO IT with the signature accessories. Wine candles, decorated wine bottles, glasses as votive holders.... basically less is more. The key is one signature piece per space.<br />
<br />
I had a party this weekend and I'm getting pretty much everything I want right now for less than $50. How awesome! I'm inches away from getting it all for next to nothing, so I thought I'd share my<a href="http://www.celebratinghome.com/parties/daniellekaminski632071/shop_our_catalog.aspx"> party link</a> so you guys could check it out and see if your space could use some new decor too!<br />
<br />
It closes Thursday so <a href="http://www.celebratinghome.com/parties/daniellekaminski632071/shop_our_catalog.aspx">shop away</a>!<br />
<br />
**Links are to the personal consultant pages of two ladies I shop with. If you order anything through the Celebrating Home link I could get some extra free stuff. This wasn't solicited in anyway so I don't really think this is necessary. But since I love this stuff, I'll give you more details :) **<br />

<br />
This weekend I had a few hours to myself and I decided to do a little crafting.<br />
<br />
Well last week I came across this really <a href="http://shop.hobbylobby.com/search/?keyword=haute%20sari&perpage=12&match=AND&F_Sort=2">cool yarn at Hobby Lobby</a> and I bought it with no clue what I might use it for. All I knew was I loved the colors and I loved the Bohemian look of it.<br />
<br />
Saturday it occurred to me that this might be a great combination.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DyDFbajEMK0/Ux-pkx0U12I/AAAAAAAAEu8/lk0rQYo75g4/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DyDFbajEMK0/Ux-pkx0U12I/AAAAAAAAEu8/lk0rQYo75g4/s1600/photo.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It's super easy. I did this for some of my wedding centerpieces and it's all over pinterest. Just wrap the yarn and use a little hot glue.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZvDXEjs1uA/Ux-pxMn1ztI/AAAAAAAAEvE/Kvy0twejAcY/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0ZvDXEjs1uA/Ux-pxMn1ztI/AAAAAAAAEvE/Kvy0twejAcY/s1600/image.jpeg" height="200" width="199" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pmKEcFO6UIY/Ux-pxvSKo0I/AAAAAAAAEvI/HwbSejDUMz8/s1600/image_1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pmKEcFO6UIY/Ux-pxvSKo0I/AAAAAAAAEvI/HwbSejDUMz8/s1600/image_1.jpeg" height="200" width="199" /></a></div>
<br />
I love it! I have other plans for this yarn too. More in the weeks to come :)<br />

I devour books, and in the past few years I've really expanded my horizons into new genres. However, my true love is Romantic Suspense. Throw in a little extraordinary abilities and I'm sold. So when <a href="http://www.shilohwalker.com/website/">Shiloh Walker</a> was looking for individuals interested in reviewing her latest FBI Psychics Novella, The Innocent, I was that over eager kid on the front row raising my hand and bouncing to be chosen.<br />
<br />
**Here is where I tell you that I did recieve a PDF of this Novella for free in exchange for an honest reiew.**<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<i><br /></i>
<i><span id="freeText14601184555230004762"><i>For a woman he can’t touch, he’ll turn Hell inside out.</i><br /><br />There’s
only one reason Jay Roberts would set foot in a middle-of-nowhere town
like Hell, Georgia. She’s got a bone to pick with her sort-of boyfriend.
They only met online, but things got hot and heavy before their cyber
link went silent.<br /><br />She’s here to get in his face for an
explanation. But no touching. Her psychic abilities make physical
contact…complicated. Yet something about this relationship made her
think things would be different. She’s not in Hell twenty minutes before
bad vibes have her skin crawling.<br /><br />Corruption has stained the
very fabric of Linc Dawson’s town, and now it’s stolen something very
dear to him. The last thing he has time for is nursing Jay’s broken
heart.<br /><br />But Jay isn’t going anywhere. Not only because she’s not
giving up on him, because she’s got access to the kind of backup nobody
wants on their bad side. And Linc discovers the woman who’s afraid to
touch him could actually be his best chance. At salvation, at hope, at
life. Maybe even love…<br /><br />Warning: This book contains a not-so-naive
virgin, a pissed-off former cop, lots of frustration, if you know what I
mean, and more trouble than either of them know what to do with.</span></i><br />
<br />
<u><b><span id="freeText14601184555230004762">What I thought:</span></b></u><br />
<br />
<span id="freeText14601184555230004762">I loved it. It was a really quick read for me. Two nights before bed and I was finished. I enjoyed the story and I really appreciated Jay's personality. My only complaint, as it always is with novellas, I'd have love to have more back story and character development. Linc fell a little flat for me personally, but I'd have loved to know more about him.</span><br />
<br />
<span id="freeText14601184555230004762">However because there are a lot of characters that tend to reappear in this series, when I go back and catch up I may get some insight (maybe not, I don't know for sure.) </span><i><span id="freeText14601184555230004762"> I've read the first two books in this series and loved them!</span></i><br />
<i><span id="freeText14601184555230004762"><br /></span></i>
<span id="freeText14601184555230004762">Overall, I'd say 4 out of 5 on a rating scale. If you enjoy Romantic Suspense I think this series is for you. The chemistry between characters never disappoints and the stories are always a little different because of the psychic twist.</span><i><span id="freeText14601184555230004762"><br /></span></i><br />
<br />
<span id="freeText14601184555230004762"><i><b>So what you been reading lately? Does this sound like a series for you?</b></i></span><br />
